On our way up, Sawyer showed us what he's into these days: snuggling his little blankie and sitting up straight.
Once we arrived for our picnic dinner, we realized we hadn't been up to the balcony on the Joseph F. Smith
Building since Jeffrey first decided he was good and ready to kiss me,
and what with that sweet memory in mind and all, we had smiles on our faces for the rest of the night.
Unfortunately, the smiles didn't last us the whole weekend due to a depressingly unsuccessful attempt to find mama bear an awesome pair of colored jeans for summer, and an equally depressing amount of time spent reading the most depressing book series, The Hunger Games. I know, I must be crazy not to love it, but I have a hard time enjoying violence and teen romances in the first place, so this book just reinforced all that. The fun part was that Jeff and I read the books simultaneously, so there's was lots of "where are you?" "can you believe that?" "what's going to happen?!?!?!?" And when it was all over the family had a cuddle fest to ramp up the warm fuzzies in our home and chase away all that depression. Phew.
