The fourth, and typical 9 to 5'er, member of our crew had Good Friday off work, so we tried something we haven't since Sawyer was about six months old; we took a chance on a museum. The old Euclid Beach Carousel at the Western Reserve Historical Society piped its Pied Piper tune to Sawyer last week when we attended a cello performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and after talking about said carousel nearly everyday since, we unanimously decided that there we would spend our family day. It was like a children's museum, classic car show, fashion display, carousel, and interesting city history all rolled up and stuffed into a sprawling old mansion- definitely a something for everyone situation. Everyone was so thrilled that we could only drag ourselves away because Louie was nearly sleep-playing. To convince Sawyer to come along quietly we had to downright bribe him. With ice cream. Which we ate after dinner at a bistro in town while playing games and watching a warm spring rain fall on the little town square.
Big city, small town, full family, really Good Friday.
