Ello does not like getting shots. She definitely has girly feelings and gets very upset and doesn't settle down quickly when she's hurt. Of the one or two times that Sawyer has accidentally- or intentionally- given her a good whack, she has exploded in a fury I didn't fully realize she had. And when she got her 2 month vaccinations, she unleashed a little bit of that rage, while still managing to be sweet and snuggly. My poor babe! For a girl who never puts up too much of a fuss, she sure makes one heck of a last stand. And I couldn't be happier about that. She's got spunk in spades, she has since birth, and it only continues to grow.
When we were in the birthing center after Louie was born, one of the nurses brought her back from testing and remarked on how "spunky" she was. I thought, "spunky? is that nurse jargon for a child who cries at them ALL THE TIME?" So I tentatively asked of she had given everyone a bit of trouble. The nurse replied, "Oh no! We had a great time. She just responds so perfectly to everything, it's been so fun to play with her." The nurse was correct. Serious spunk from day one.
She continues to be so amiable and responds perfectly. Want her to laugh? Ok she'll laugh (!!!! she's laughing and it's fabulous!!!!). Tickle her? She'll wiggle and jiggle and giggle. Make a face, and she'll make one back. Give her a smile and she'll flash a big one right back at you. Plop her in the tub and she'll relax right away. Diaper time? No fuss. Sleep at night? OK no problem mama. She's so perfect, this little bundle of joy of ours. I absolutely love having her around.
She is so cute!! I love all the pictures!! :) I just want to kiss her cheeks!
