On the very outskirts of the property line, there is a tree-ringed panhandle we refer to as the "fairy circle." It's magical and somewhat isolated, the perfect place for a backyard camp out, and on August 7th, that's exactly what Jeff and Sawyer did.
Bounding all over the backyard until it was finally time to pack the wheelbarrow full of assorted camping supplies and night time books, Sawyer's excitement was unstoppable. That is, until it was finally dark enough to call it night and then, Jeff tells me, two books and Sawyer was dreaming the whole night through. At 8:00 am, two hungry and surprisingly well-rested boys came knocking on my door, ready for breakfast. Once fed, back out to the tent they went.
